City tour: Temple of Literature, built in the 11th century as Vietnam’s first university, Fine Arts Museum and Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. Dinner at local restaurant. Enjoy the Water Puppet Show, the unique Vietnamese traditional art. |

| D2 | Hanoi-Halong Bay (B/L/D) | Breakfast. Half-day city tour: Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (closed on Monday, Friday and the whole October-November) and Residence, One Pillar Pagoda, Army Museum. Lunch at local restaurant. Drive to Halong, 180 km east of Hanoi. Transfer to hotel. |

| D3 | Halong Bay -Hanoi (B/L/D) | Breakfast. Discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage Area of outstanding natural beauty. "Dragon descending to the sea" as it is known in Vietnamese, picturesque Halong Bay has more than 3,000 limestone islets rising from the clear emerald water, many of them containing beautiful grottoes. A 4-hour boat trip will visit one grotto, then continue to explore more of these wonders of creation. Seafood lunch on board. Drive back to Hanoi. |
